RUDY MELLA, born and raised in New York City, brings with him more than 15 years of professional experience in the Theatre world. He has studied with Theatre legends Herbert Berghof, Uta Hagen and Gene Frankel. His television credits include LUIS on the ABC soap opera ONE LIFE TO LIVE, the character of LITTLE Q on the Saturday morning sitcom CITY GUYS as well as an extensive resume of Off Broadway productions and his acclaimed One Man Show STRANGE TONGUES.

Rudy is a performer and head writer of the sketch comedy troupe HOT TAMALES LIVE! which is founded and produced by EVA LONGORIA (Desperate Housewives) and can be seen every month at THE COMEDY STORE in Hollywood. The show is currently in production for the LIFETIME TELEVISION NETWORK with an airdate set for 2006..

Rudy was an original member of the BREAKDANCE movement in SPANISH HARLEM in the early 1980’s. He is excited to be teaching a variety of DANCE CLASSES at The Performers Academy featuring a fusion of OLD SCHOOL BREAK & POP and HIP-HOP.

RUDY is also a talented artist who studied cartooning and illustration at the famed HIGH SCHOOL of ART&DESIGN in New York City where such greats as CALVIN KLEIN, MARC JACOBS and TONY BENNETT studied. He has developed a score of original cartoon characters used in cartoon shorts, comic books, periodicals and advertising. Rudy currently has a cartoon series in development with the CARTOON NETWORK entitled WURTHMAN’S WORLD!
